Thomas Zapadka

Thomas brings scientific depth and analytical rigor to the evaluation of life sciences investment opportunities. He holds a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Physiology from Yale University, where his research focused on visual neuroscience and ophthalmology. This background gives him a firsthand understanding of the science underlying new developments in biotech. Prior to joining Jefferson Life Sciences, Thomas spent two years as a Canaan-Yale Fellow on the healthcare investing team at Canaan Partners, where he evaluated promising life sciences ventures.

Together with the rest of the JLS team, Thomas works to support the development of therapies across indications and mechanisms with the goal of identifying novel innovations capable of driving durable improvements in human health.
